Making of: Golden shine

At first I wasn’t sure if I want to try Scheepjes Stone Washed. I was worried about the colors – they have “used”, frayed look. Would they look nice? Would they fit the project I wanted to make?

I decided to order one skein of yarn just to check it out. Once I unpack it, I immediately fell in love! It was like a shiny, soft, liquid gold. So nice, so beautiful. And easy to work with too!

I used it to make a dread band with net pattern on circular needles. This pattern is vary easy and basic but gives the dread band really cool look. And it keeps your ears warm but shows your dreadlocks through the openwork :)

I am really happy with final product – is has a great color and interesting look. If you want to check it out, you will find more information here.

I would really like to make another dread band with this yarn, also with openwork design but maybe a little bit more complicated this time. What do you think about this yarn and my work?
