Some time ago I posted about making crochet mandalas and using them in wall hangings. Now it’s time to show you one of final versions!
It is also first mandala/wall hanging that I did and I am very happy with it. It has wonderful, vibrant colours, flowery pattern and all in all looks great for a first project of that type. Obviously, before I made it, I practised the pattern to make sure it will look good.
This time I left out a lot of wooden hoop visible. I have to buy some metal ones for full covering, but with wooden ones I like them to be seen!
Then I added some colourful ribbons, crocheted flowers, delicate leaves and voilà! I am very happy with the effect I’ve got on a wooden hoop, I wrap one of the translucent ribbon around it loosely, so it gives this nice “3D” effect. Hope you can understand what I mean.
Tell me if you like it – you can see more photos in my Porcupine Knits Etsy shop!
